Juan Manuel Marquez was a professional Mexican boxer who was one of the best boxers of the world. Marquez was able to have great boxing rivalries with Barrera and also with Manny Pacquiao. Marquez described the importance of being dedicated to the sport of boxing and the need to strive to improve. Marquez was able to be one of the few individuals that was able to be a significant rival to Pacquiao. 

Pacquiao was one of the greatest, most talented, and most dedicated boxers of the modern era of boxing. Pacquaio was able to have one of the most impressive records in boxing and also be among the most skilled boxers. Marquez was able to battle Pacquiao and was the boxer that was able to not only keep up with Pacquiao but provide a viable contention. There were four fights to the Marquez vs. Pacquiao rivalry. 

In the second fight, it is quite possible that the match was a tie with both boxers hitting evenly, yet the fight was given to Pacquiao. The third fight, had Marquez hitting Pacquiao with more punches that landed and showing Marquez the obvious winner of the match. The fight was also given to Pacquiao. This match was definitely not judged in a partial manner.

Instead of Marquez complaining and whining about the decision, Marquez decided to train even harder and eliminate the option of allowing the boxing bout to be judged by the boxing judges. Marquez got into an impressive form and was able to beat Pacquiao with a strong jab that prevented the fight from going to a decision. Marquez definitely won the fourth fight. Marquez taught the importance of being dedicated and persisting despite the partiality and favoritism that existed in the sport of boxing.
