Alexander Hamilton

 Alexander Hamilton

We learn that the United States was created so that citizens can have basic rights that are protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We know that the human rights are actually given by GOD Almighty. The initial founders of the United States were able to describe how citizens have rights that protect them from tyranny, nepotism, and totalitarianism. We learn that there were nations that practiced socialism where individuals could not speak or write truth because of the envy of socialist sycophants seen in the Soviet Union.

We learn that Alexander Hamilton along with George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson were able to create the foundations of a new nation that would safeguard the rights of citizens to prevent tyranny. Alexander Hamilton wrote the Federalist Papers that described how the United States is described as a constitutional republic. This describes that the rights of all citizens are respected regardless what party is majority or minority. This specific description allows individuals to live without conflict.

This was something new because the United States allowed individuals to live without conflict since the majority respected the minority and also there was no mob rule. This is something that was innovative because through reason and logic individuals are able to understand that there is no need for conflict. The different political parties existed to prevent a one-party rule. We learn that in Soviet Russia the Bolsheviks attempted to prevent the creation or existance of other political parties. This was to prevent individuals from speaking truth and having options concerning choosing political governance.

We learn that the United States has had different political parties and has not been limited to a single political party. There were the Libertarians, Tories, Whigs, Republicans, Green Party, and Democrats among the many different political parties. The United States has done well in the manner that no one party has attempted to prevent the other political parties from competing due to the understanding of logic, reason, and autonomy. The Federalist Papers described the logic and reason that exists in a multiple political party system. This prevents the majority from oppressing the minority party and allows for dialogue and discussion. We learn that there are nations that were predominantly socialist that did not allow for this elegant manner of governance. This is why the United States is different from socialist and communist nations and why recent unelected federal bureaucracies (created in 1940s) have attempted to impede the amazing political system that the initial founders had in mind.

Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was a signer of the Constitution and also a proponent for autonomy and freedom. We learn that Benjamin Franklin was an inventor that created multiple inventions in the 1700s and also wrote extensively about the importance of autonomy and freedom. We learn that along with Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin helped support the new nation of the United States.

We learn that Benjamin Franklin also wrote and created almanacs with important information on gardening, administrating, learning, and self-improvement. We learn that the United States prospered due to the influence of the Pilgrims and Puritans persevering in the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that industriousness and responsibility were important virtues that guarded against slothfulness and irresponsibility. We learn that because of the values and virtues that are in Christianity, the United States improved.

We learn that Benjamin Franklin enjoyed learning and kept learning throughout his life. We learn that he was also a polymath who not only learned about government, autonomy, responsibility, science, and administrating, but also was creating innovations and testing scientific hypothesis. We learn that Benjamin Franklin was an individual that kept learning despite his older age.

We have learned how reading and writing can help the brain stay young. We learn that Benjamin Franklin was an individual that was industrious and also described the importance of learning and having responsibility. The Constitution was written by Thomas Jefferson yet Benjamin Franklin was also a part of describing the ideals and values of the new nation in 1776. We learn that the virtues of responsibility and administrating were vital in making sure that the United States became a nation that valued autonomy, liberty, freedom, and responsibility. We can appreciate the value of freedom and also the need to practice responsibility. This prevents us from thinking that freedom means having autonomy to be irresponsible that false doctrines and idolatry tries to lead to.

Alexis de Tocqueville

 Alexis de Tocqueville

Alexis de Tocqueville was a French individual who visited the United States to learn about the ideals and values of the new nation in the 1700s. Alexis de Tocqueville was impressed by the United States due to the freedom and autonomy that existed along with responsibility. We learn that the United States allowed individuals to have freedom and autonomy seen in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We learn that the United States created a system of checks and balances that prevented totalitarianism and despotism.

Alexis de Tocqueville was impressed by the system of checks and balances that allowed Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court to veto any measure that seemed unethical, unneeded, or that attempted to give too much power to a specific branch of the government. Congress can veto the Presidency or Supreme Court, the Presidency can veto Congress or the Supreme Court,  and likewise the Supreme Court can veto the Presidency or Congress. Like rock, paper, scissors, neither branch has unlimited power. Alexis de Tocqueville described that the careful balance of power between the different branches of the United States' government was important describing how the founders of the Constitution and Bill of Rights fought against tyranny and arbitrariness.

Alexis de Tocqueville described how bureaucracies were essentially a problem and the United States had an amazing system of checks and balances that prevented authoritarianism. We learn that bureaucracies even in the 1700s were seen as a problem to adequate and efficient governance. We learn that different individuals have expressed skepticism about bureaucracies including John F. Kennedy who described in his presidency the dangers of bureaucracies. C. S. Lewis also described skepticism about bureaucracies.

Alexis de Tocqueville similar to other rational individuals were impressed at the intricate detail of the Constitution and Bill of Rights that guarantees citizens basic rights and prevents misuse of authority and totalitarianism that has been seen in socialist and communist nations. We learn that there were different individuals that were amazed by the United States' governance in the 1700s because citizens have basic rights guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We learn that bureaucracies have attempted to encroach and make laws that prevent competition and favor monopolies. We learn to reject "monopoly" capitalism, socialism, and communism.

Skvortsov

 Skvortsov

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described how in the Soviet Union individuals did not have the freedom to have preferences over writers. Skvortsov was an individual that was taken to gulag for writing positively about a non-socialist Russian writer. Skvortsov was falsely accused and taken to gulag for fifteen years for speaking good things about a Russian writer and constructively criticizing Mayakovsky who was a socialist. This describes that there was no autonomy in Soviet Russia. We learn that individuals could not speak nor write about having preferences for Russian writers. We learn that Dostoevsky was hated by Soviet socialists.

We learn that Soviet Union citizens did not have basic rights to speak truth nor have preferences over Russian writers. This describes that socialism and communism does not like that individuals have freedom and autonomy. We learn that individuals could not constructively critique socialist writers like Mayakovsky because socialists would get offended. The offended sycophants would then write denunciations against anyone who dared speak truth or have preferences over writers.

Another individual was taken to gulag for saying that Gorky (a socialist leader) was a bad writer and that the working class in Soviet Russia did not live well. We learn that this was enough to write a denunciation with false accusations and send the individual to gulag. We are able to understand the importance of freedom of speech and being able to speak truth. We learn that if the socialist Bolsheviks were offended, they would write denunciations and send individuals who did no wrong to gulag. This describes that socialism does not allow for freedom and autonomy.

We learn from the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s that the truth is able to persevere amidst opposition. We learn that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described in the stories of the Gulag Archipelago multiple individuals who went through false accusations and gulag for the envy of socialism and communism in the Soviet Union. We learn that the Gulag Archipelago allows us to know that the truth is important and conquers the temporary lies. After publishing the Gulag Archipelago, the Soviet Union weakened and eventually collapsed in the 1990s. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn would be able to write in the United States during exile and describe the importance of Christian zeal and the incongruencies of Soviet socialism.

Thomas Jefferson

 Thomas Jefferson

We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Thomas Jefferson was one of the writers of the Constitution that was able to describe how all individuals are created equal. We learn that the Constitution of the United States was written in 1776 in response to the oppression of England that was imposing taxes without representation. We learn that the writers of the Constitution described that they had autonomy and liberty to decide if taxes were to be imposed and the amount that was imposed. We learn that England wanted to tax without representation meaning that they were creating tax hikes without the American citizens agreeing to the tax hikes.

Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence that described how individuals are created by their Creator. Thomas Jefferson along with other rational individuals that founded the United States in 1776 described how there is a Creator that gives human rights to individuals. We learn that Jefferson learned from the Scriptures and understood the concepts of autonomy, freedom, industriousness, and human rights. We learn that the Sacred Scriptures describe the importance of human rights in obeying the commandments of Moses. Thomas Jefferson described how the citizens of America had a right to decide if they wanted to be taxed compared to arbitrary tax hikes.

We learn that while Thomas Jefferson owned slaves that describes a clear discrepancy, we learn that honest and faithful Abraham Lincoln would free the slaves in 1865 describing the ideals of true equality. Dwight D. Eisenhower also fought for equality rights in the 1950s. We learn that Dr. Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy fought for civil rights of minorities in the 1960s while racism attempted to prevent African-Americans and Hispanic individuals from obtaining equality in employment and education opportunities. We learn that regardless, the ideals and values of human rights are true. We learn that the American revolutionaries were able to fight against England and obtain their sovereignty. We learn that along with George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson would describe the ideals of a republic that did not accept arbitrariness and fought for values. We learn that the United States was able to obtain freedom after defeating England. We learn that the Constitution and Bill of Rights are important seeing how in the Soviet Union there were no Bill of Rights. This allows us to have gratitude for knowing the importance of autonomy and freedom that are represented in the United States.

We learn that the nation of the United States prospered because of the values described in Christianity, the Constitution, and Bill of Rights. We learn that individuals have a right to freedom of religion that prevents the government from abridging the rights of citizens. This describes that Christianity is able to be preached first and foremost because King Jesus Christ gives us authority to preach and also because the Bill of Rights describes that government can not abridge rights of freedom of religion. This means that Christianity is preached and keeps on being preached in the end times consistent with the words of King Jesus Christ.

Nina

 Nina

There was another story in the Gulag Archipelago from Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn that described a girl that was taken to gulag after her father was taken to gulag. We learn that the girl's father was envied and the Soviet Bolsheviks went into the house to take the individual to gulag. Nina (another Nina not the one from Bazbei and Zhenya's story) wrote a humorous poem in school about how the socialist nazis had bombed specific areas of Soviet Russia including a church.

Nina had humorously written in a piece of paper that she wished that instead of bombing the church, that her school was destroyed instead because they were tired of Soviet studies (this was with humor and no negative intention being that they were being attacked by the nazi socialists). Nina went to retrieve the piece of paper that she had hidden knowing that the Soviet Bolshevik socialists would accuse her based on the humorous rhyme. Nina went to find the piece of paper and while attempting to rip it apart, the Bolsheviks took the paper and asked her questions. Nina was taken to gulag and given five years.

We learn that Nina had done nothing wrong and was envied for being the daughter of an individual who was also envied. We learn that in the Soviet Union, individuals did not have freedom to speak truth because the envious Soviet Bolshevik socialists did not want individuals to improve upon themselves. This was the main reason why Christianity was hated and envied by Soviet socialists. We learn that socialists did not take constructive criticism very positively and instead criticized negatively without motive or reason.

We learn that Nina wrote a humorous rhyme or joke in response to the difficulties that were happening. We learn that any criticism of the Soviet Bolshevik system resulted in envy and censorship. The Soviet Bolshevik socialists did not want individuals to speak truth or criticize the socialist Soviet system. We learned about Boris Vinogradov who was an engineer that did not flee when the Soviet bureaucrats fled to safer cities, and for saying that the bureaucrats had fled, the Soviet Bolshevik bureaucrats falsely accused Boris of sedition.

Priest Irakly

 Priest Irakly

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described in another story about a priest who was hidden in different apartments by faithful Christian believers. In this story, the priest had gone to another region to preach to faithful believers. We learn that when the priest was preaching in another region, the Soviet Bolshevik socialists had attempted to arrest the priest by going to his apartment late at night. When the socialists did not find the priest in his apartment, they insisted and returned two other times to arrest the priest.

While the priest was returning to his city, the faithful believers told the priest about how there were Bolsheviks who went to his apartment searching for him. The faithful believers took the priest and hid him from the Bolshevik Soviets. The priest was able to live eight years in freedom by being hidden in other believer's apartments. This story describes the genuine empathy of righteous Christians of caring about others. While the Soviet Union attempted to make people think that everyone betrays and everyone is disloyal, we learn that in the Soviet Union there were righteous and loyal individuals who never betrayed and never falsely accused. Righteous Christians instead cared for others and seen in this story, they did not betray the priest. In fact, it was the priest who did not want to hide any longer.

This is an interesting story because the righteous Christians did not allow the priest to return to his apartment knowing that the Soviets were looking for him to take him to gulag. The priest lived with autonomy for multiple years being safeguarded by the faithful believers. We learn that the priest was eventually taken to gulag and even then was singing hymns of worship to GOD Almighty having to no longer hide himself from the Soviet Bolsheviks.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was surprised by how righteous individuals did not have fear and instead persevered with courage and valor. The priest actually did not like being hidden and instead was ready to persevere despite persecution. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was amazed by the strength and courage of righteous Christians to persevere with boldness despite opposition and envy. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described how there were multiple individuals that persevered not fearing and having serenity to keep preaching and speaking truth. Another older woman also did not betray a priest (called a metropolitan) and never told the Soviet Bolsheviks the place where the priest had taken refuge outside of the Soviet Union. She did not betray nor give any information about the priest who fled to another region.

Martinson

 Martinson

The Soviet Union was one big camp.”-(page 253)

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described how the truth was not allowed to be spoken by the Soviets because individuals would learn about the truth. We learn about the story of Nina who was taken to gulag for having written a humorous rhyme about preferring that the Soviet studies where interrupted instead of Church. We learn that the truth was not well received by Soviets. We learn that humor also was not something that was liked by Soviets socialists.

In the story of Martinson, we learn that he was taken to gulag for saying that the Soviet Union was one big camp. The individual had stated that essentially the Soviet Union under Stalin was gulag. For speaking the truth, the Soviet socialists took the individual Martinson to gulag for ten years. This is interesting because Christianity speaks about the importance of speaking truth. In the Soviet Union, individuals needed to speak temporary lies so that they did not get taken to gulag. However, we learn that even Bolshevik Soviets were taken to gulag.

We learn that socialism does not like that individuals preach truth or that individuals have a sense of humor. We learned that everything was offensive to the socialists and describes the hipocrisy of socialism. We learn that while the socialists advocated for a “utopia” in the Soviet Union, it was actually far from a real utopia. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described how individuals could not express their faith to others because they would be taken to gulag. Individuals also could not speak truth because then individuals would not want to practice idolatry.

We learn that socialism did not help individuals and instead led to envy and coveting. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described how for making a single comment about the Soviet Union being essentially a big camp, Martinson was taken to gulag. We learn that freedom of speech was not allowed in the Soviet Union and describes the discrepancy and incongruency between the temporary lies of socialism and the truth seen in Christianity.
