Pancho Villa
Pancho Villa was a Mexican revolutionary whose life was described similar to Robinhood. Pancho Villa lived in the early 1900s in Mexico. Pancho Villa was able to steal money from the corrupt and rich and give to the poor. We learned that in Mexico there have been times of corruption and greed, yet Pancho Villa was able to redistribute the money to the poor. While stealing is not something that should be done, we learned that Pancho Villa did not keep the money all for himself and instead redistributed it to the poor.
There are stories of Pancho Villa being hated by the Mexican government because he was able to help the poor. The people helped Pancho Villa when the Mexican government attempted to capture Pancho Villa. We learn that Pancho Villa was helped by the people because he was not greedy. We learn that despite being hated by the corrupt and greedy and having attempts against his life, Pancho Villa persevered. We learned that Pancho Villa escaped and was able to keep persevering. The Mexican people would hide Pancho Villa and help him escape detection and capture. There are stories that stated that Pancho Villa was actually respected for helping the people.
We learn that the Mexican government asked for the help of the United States government to help capture Pancho Villa. There are stories that the CIA was sent to Mexico to capture and remove Pancho Villa. Pancho Villa was able to evade capture and kept helping the needy in Mexico. This was at a time in Mexico where there was much corruption and greed. This describes that the people respected Pancho Villa because he helped others and was not stingy and greedy.
Pancho Villa was able to evade the Mexican government and CIA being brave. There are stories that state that neither the Mexican government nor CIA was able to capture Pancho Villa. The story states that it was a treacherous false “friend” who envied Pancho Villa and betrayed Pancho Villa. While Pancho Villa was driving in a car, his false “friend” set up an ambush so that another vehicle could crash against his car. Pancho Villa was then shot. The story of Pancho Villa describes that while Pancho Villa was not perfect being a thief, he was not evil. (This is speaking of not being a stingy, greedy, and backstabbing hypocrite). Pancho Villa gave money that he stole to the needy. Pancho Villa is a real life Robinhood who stole from the rich and gave to the poor. (We are reminded to persevere without stealing obeying the commandments of Moses. Yet, the story of Pancho Villa describes the need to be cautious against false “friends” who actually harbor resentment and envy like Pancho Villa's supposed “friend”.) The important message of Pancho Villa's story is to be cautious against false “friends” or frienemies who hate and envy individuals and also “appear” to be helpful. Most likely, Pancho Villa's “friend” envied Pancho Villa for being respected and cared about by people. Instead of helping Pancho Villa, he backstabbed him and plotted an ambush. We need to avoid false individuals who are fake, envious, treacherous, and arrogant.
