Ghandi
Ghandi was an individual from the country of India who fought for the independence of India from Great Britain through non-violence. Ghandi was a humble individual who did not believe in violence and instead protested through pacifism. Ghandi was an individual that was slandered by socialists for fighting for autonomy.
Ghandi fought for greater autonomy for individuals in India. Ghandi took to peaceful protests and fasting to combat inequality during his times. Ghandi did not use violence, intimidation, coercision, and slander to attack his oppressors and instead took to pacifism.
Ghandi helped India obtain autonomy and be an independent nation. Ghandi was slandered and spoken negatively by socialists who saw the country of India as its territory and supplier of resources. (It was said that Ghandi hit his wife with the intention to question his leadership. It is questionable that Ghandi who preached pacifism could have used violence. Instead, it may have been slander.)
Ghandi would inspire MLK who was able to use pacifism and non-violent protests to fight against racism and segregation in the Civil Rights Movement. Ghandi fought against tyranny and racism through pacifism. Ghandi would be assassinated after being shot with a gun. (Ghandi was a Hinduist yet preached non-violence and pacifism. While Hinduism is idolatry, there are individuals who are pacifists and tolerant of others. (There are also envious and negative hinduists who are not pacifists.) Ghandi understood the importance of empathy and getting rid of violence to make the world a better place. We can see the importance of empathy and pacifism in Ghandi's example.) There was a movie of Ghandi made, titled after his name, that described the accomplishments of Ghandi and how he was important in the independence of the country of India.
