Boris Gammerov
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described that he had been indoctrinated to the point where he could not believe that individuals were believers of GOD Almighty. Aleksandr Solzhenytsyn was able to begin to understand the importance of faith after speaking with various individuals that were zealous believers in GOD Almighty. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn had spoken to Anatoly Fastenko who described the need to repent of idolatry.
We learn that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn did not understand the reproof, yet was able to keep an open mind that allowed him to understand that socialism and communism did not help people. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was able to describe that the zeal of individuals for the faith in GOD Almighty allowed him to see the truth. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described that Boris Gammerov was an individual that had faith in GOD Almighty and allowed him to question his faithlessness and atheism.
“And because of this I was unable to reply to him, and I merely asked him: 'Do you believe in GOD?’ 'Of course,’ he answered.”
Boris Gammerov described to Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn that he was a believer in GOD Almighty when asked by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described that he was an atheist who sympathized with Lenin, yet began to see the truth after multiple conversations with individuals that had been placed in gulag out of envy. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn described that he began to understand that there was a choice to decide if individuals wanted to be righteous or not. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn would describe that there is goodness that exists.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was surprised by the manner that individuals could persevere with resoluteness and zeal for the worship of GOD Almighty. His conversation with Gammerov allowed him to understand that regardless of the difficulties, opposition, and circumstances that exist, individuals can choose to be good and not be corrupted by false systems seen in socialism and communism.
