 Philo

Philo was a Jewish individual who opposed Apion when Apion attacked the Jewish customs and traditions with malicious intent (most notably the need to avoid idol worship). Philo was a prominent Jewish individual who defended the need to avoid idolatry. Josephus described how Philo actually looked to argue against Apion for his negativity and envy of the Jewish individuals. 

Apion was actually an idolator who opposed Josephus for writing about Jewish history in a positive manner. Josephus was a historian who cared about Jewish history and opposed idolatry. Apion criticized Josephus negatively and also Philo for not being idolatrous. Apion wanted complete devotion to idolatry.

Philo learned that Apion was idolatrous and persevered with courage. Philo told the Jewish individuals that Apion was being envious and even attempted to portray Jewish individuals as rebellious when in fact they were honoring their belief against the worship of idols. Apion wanted Jewish individuals to worship Caligula. Caligula did not want to hear Philo after Apion had lied to him.

Philo did not get discouraged and told the Jewish individuals that Caligula was deciding to oppose GOD Almighty. A year after Caligula decided to be contemptuous to Philo and preferred to side with Apion, Caligula was destroyed by conspirators. There were Jewish individuals who did not practice idol worship despite pressure. Caligula was known to be particularly envious and destroyed himself for opposing GOD Almighty. Caligula was destroyed by Roman conspirators. This describes how we do not take vengeance and instead GOD Almighty takes vengeance against idolators. 

Tertullian

 Tertullian

Tertullian was a Christian individual that wrote about how Christianity speaks truth. Tertullian was opposed by idolatrous Gentiles and Jewish individuals for arguing in favor of Christianity. Tertullian wrote about how idol worship does not make sense. Flavius Josephus also wrote about how idol worship does not make sense. This is described in the myths of pagan Roman and Greek idolatry where idols are worshiped instead of the true GOD of gods, GOD Almighty.

Josephus was also opposed by idolatrous Jewish individuals for writing about Jewish history and Christianity. Idolatrous Jewish individuals opposed his writings for choosing to not revolt against Rome and writing about Christianity. Roman individuals opposed Josephus for writing favorably about Jewish history. Despite opposition by both types of idolators, Josephus wrote about how idol worship does not make sense and also how the worship of GOD Almighty and Christianity makes sense logically.

Tertullian also was opposed by idolators from both Gentile and Jewish ethnicities. Despite opposition, Tertullian also described how Christianity makes sense to both Gentiles and Jewish individuals. Tertullian spoke truth about how Christianity seeks to allow individuals to worship GOD Almighty and live with serenity amongst each other. Tertullian denoted how idol worship made individuals practice sin.

While being criticized by both Gentile and Jewish idolators, Tertullian kept writing and speaking about the importance of GOD Almighty and Christianity. Tertullian caused for individuals to convert to Christianity despite being criticized. Tertullian and Flavius Josephus are individuals that wrote about the importance of Christianity in the first century. Both described the importance of worshiping GOD Almighty over idols. 

"...The cause of such irregular and erroneous conceptions of the deity? For my part, I trace it to the ignorance of the true nature of GOD with their legislators entered on their task, and to their failure to formulate even such correct knowledge of it as they were able to attain and to make the rest of their constitution conform to it. Instead, as if this was the most trifling of details, they allowed the poets to introduce what gods they chose, subject to all the passions, and the orators to pass decrees for entering the name of any suitable foreign god..."- Josephus Against Apion [Joseph reproves idol worship from mythology]

Priest Eziquio Trevizo

Priest Eziquio Trevizo

"This is the day the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad."- Psalm 118: 24

Priest Eziquio Trevizo was a priest who conducted the Sunday Mass in the city of Juarez. We learn that he was able to preach during his sermons and was able to describe the need to persevere with true joy and gladness of heart in the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that Eziquio Trevizo was able to describe the importance of persevering without practicing sin and idol worship. 

Priest Eziquio Trevizo was able to also write in the newspaper, El Diario de Juarez, of the city of Juarez. His writings were powerful and important because they described the need to have skepticism and the need to avoid sin and idol worship. His writings told of the need to not believe the temporary lies of evil that try to lead to the road of perdition. Priest Eziquio Trevizo wrote about not believing the deception of evil that wants individuals to be far part from GOD Almighty. He wrote with courage describing that we are supposed to believe in the Creator and LORD of all, GOD Almighty. We can not believe anything that evil says because it is based on temporary lies. He was able to write about making sure that we persevere practicing obedience to GOD Almighty far apart from the practice of sin and idol worship.

This is important because Priest Eziquio Trevizo was able to preach and write during the times between 2006-2012 when there were difficulties in the city of Juarez due to drug use and sin. Priest Eziquio Trevizo described the need to forsake the path of destruction that idol worship, drug use, sin, and vices try to lead to. He was able to preach and write with boldness and keep motivating the righteous to persevere describing the power of GOD Almighty in the lives of righteous individuals who obey the true GOD of gods, GOD Almighty.

We learn that Priest Eziquio Trevizo was able to preach about the importance of persevering in the worship of GOD Almighty while writing with authority and truth. We learn that when we make GOD Almighty our everything, we are able to persevere regardless of obstacles, times, or persecution. We learn that Priest Eziquio Trevizo was able to be a bold example of how the worship of King Jesus Christ helps us persevere without needing to practice idolatry nor sin. We also know that we do not need illicit drug use because it does not help. We are able to have motivation and encouragement knowing that there are righteous individuals that choose to improve in the worship of GOD Almighty instead of stagnating in vices that attempt to lead the unrepentant wicked to destruction.
