 The Anesthesiologist Who Volunteered Providing Medical Care to Countries Without Medical Care

There was the story of a French anesthesiologist who provided medical care to regions that did not have a medical infrastructure. The anesthesiologist described how he took a significant pay cut in order to provide medical care to areas that did not have medical care (do not recall if this was in Latin America or Africa. This was with Doctors Without Borders prior to covid in the 2000s. Since covid there is the need to remain skeptical of experimental "vaccines")  

The physician described that despite the pay cut, he appreciated the manner to provide medical care to individuals who could not afford medical care. The anesthesiologist described that he was able to improve his skill set by providing medical care in areas that did not have state of the art equipment. Despite the circumstances, the physician was able to help others who could not afford medical care by providing anesthesiology services for surgeries.

The physician was surprised by how despite individuals living with modest resources, they were able to live with happiness instead of bitterness and envy. The physician could not understand how individuals could live being cheerful despite the modest resources that they had. The physician could not understand how individuals living in opulent cities were not happy despite having all the material resources.

This describes that materialism is not the source of happiness. It may be understood that the individuals with modest resources were religious and also had empathy. The physian was surprised by how individuals with modest resources cared more about others than material things. This describes how there are individuals who practice empathy and goodness with their skill set instead of trying to provide experimental "vaccines" to others. (There is the need to be skeptical of false prophets in these times who envy others.)
