Eunice Kennedy

 Eunice Kennedy

Eunice Kennedy was the sister of JFK and RFK. Eunice Kennedy was able to help individuals with physical and mental disabilities to improve themselves by choosing to provide community programs that helped individuals with handicaps exercise and practice sports. Kennedy would essentially be the individual that would help create the Special Olympics that gave hope and encouragement to individuals born with health and physical disabilities.

Kennedy was amazing in choosing to make the most out of difficulties that her sister went through. She decided to help by instituting a community program that encouraged exercise and sports. The community programs were a success because individuals began to have improved confidence and happiness from exercising and being involved in team sports

There are stories of positive individuals that did not allow their physical disabilities from preventing them from helping and encouraging others including the stories of Helen Keller and her tutor. Helen Keller was a spokeswoman for the American Foundation of the Blind. These stories describe that it is possible to appreciate the good in everything instead of choosing to be negative about life.

Kennedy helped with the creation of the Special Oympics that motivated individuals to have encouragement. The Special Olympics awarded talented athletes with medals and also allowed them to compete in sports. We have seen how exercise and playing sports can help individuals improve, gain self-confidence, and be motivated. We learn that all individuals are important to GOD Almighty and how it is better to encourage and help one another than envy and hate others
