 St. Gregory of Nyssa

"Man must exercise it [authority] with wisdom and love through obedience, a free and happy obedience." [GOD Almighty gives autonomy to worship and does not force anyone to worship by force.]

St. Gregory was a bishop of the Catholic church in the year 300 after Christ. We learn that St. Gregory was able to persevere worshiping GOD Almighty and preaching King Jesus Christ. St. Gregory has great quotes that describe that we have good things being human such as autonomy and also need to persist with responsibility.

"Life is entrusted to man as a treasure or a talent which must be used well. Man must render an account of it to GOD Almighty." [All human life has dignity and purpose to worship GOD Almighty. That is why murder is disdained and repudiated. Everyone is accountable for their life to GOD Almighty.]

St. Gregory describes that obeying the commandments of Moses and studying Scripture is necessary in order to preserve our happiness and goodness. While there are false doctrines that want to lead to occultism and destruction, obeying the commandments of Moses guards us from entering into the wrong path of destruction.

There is also the need to have self-dominion. The snake wants to lead to false doctrines so that there is no discipline, self-dominion, virtues, and self-improvement. This is because the snake does not want individuals improving in the worship of GOD Almighty. The snake hates human beings.

"Man was created in the image of the GOD Almighty that governs the universe."

We choose to self-improve and avoid false doctrines that have nothing good to offer. We can persevere with gratitude knowing that integrity and speaking truth is better than deceit and vices. 

"The commandments and precepts of the LORD are a gift of grace entrusted to man always and solely for his good, for the preservation of his personal dignity and happiness."
