Gordon W. Allport
"The neurotic who learns to laugh at himself may be on the way to self-management, perhaps to cure."
Gordon W. Allport was a logotherapist who described that having a sense of humor helps against negative emotions and neuroticism. Logotherapy is an impressive form of psychotherapy that helps individuals see the importance of having meaning and purpose in life. Logotherapy also describes the need to practice humility through having a sense of humor.
We know that to have a sense of humor an individual must have humility. Usually if individuals do not have a sense of humor, it is because they are arrogant. Logotherapists such as Allport and Frankl have described that a sense of humor can be good medicine. Individuals that learn to laugh despite circumstances and adversity tend to persist with good emotions and gratitude compared to not having a sense of humor.
We have seen how having a sense of humor is despised by socialists. Despite the envy, we can persevere with a sense of humor. Humor also helps ridicule incongruencies or inconsistencies that are not truth. Humor tends to note that discrepencies exist and can be quite comical. This is another reason why socialists hate comedy in these times because their lies are exposed. (Socialists used "comedy" (non-constructive and based on lies) in the 1950s to attack Christianity and also promote socialism. Christians were not offended nor resorted to attacks. Christians ignored the jokes. However, socialists hate real comedy in the 2010s and have impeded or prevented comedy from helping individuals laugh at negativity and discrepencies.
Despite the incongruency, we can still see the positive side of life. We can still see comedy specials, sketches, and standup routines. We can choose to persist with positivity instead of being bitter about everything (and that is with the non-compete mafia preventing encouragement, comedy, sports, medicine, music, publishing new positive content on Youtube, preventing competition in education and the workforce.) Despite all of that, we can still have good laughter knowing these are not the best of times and that GOD Almighty does not lie. Socialists say GOD Almighty does not have a sense of humor, yet it is actually socialism that is barren of laughter and mirth (seen since the 2010s). Democracy allows for criticism (preferably creative and constructive) without resorting to censorship, deceit, non-compete, or worse, the blacklisting of individuals for speaking truth. We also have seen how impressive leaders persisted with a sense of humor including Churchill, Reagen, Lincoln, and even Albert Einstein enjoyed watching comedy sketches of Professor Ludwig Van Know It All from Your Show of shows describing that humor is important.
