Socrates

 Socrates

"The unexamined life is not worth living."

Socrates was a Greek philosopher who looked to use logic and argumentation to understand truth. We learn that along with other philosophers including Plato and Aristotle, they were able to explain that logic can be used in argumentation and deduction to arrive at sound conclusions.

Socrates stated that life is meant to be examined describing that introspection is important. Introspection allows us to understand that life is lived and allows us to learn specific lessons. While we live, we are supposed to question the things that help us from the things that do not help. Socrates helped understand the importance of ethics and the need to improve.

Socrates described that a life that is not examined is not good. We can use reason, logic, deduction, and inductive thinking to understand if our lives are lived with virtues, authenticity goodness, and discipline or not.

We can choose to improve each day learning and also avoid negative information that does not help. We learn to appreciate learning and using logic to remove unhelpful, unneeded, and untruthful information that has no beneficial use. Despite Socrates not being a Christian, he did describe the importance of using logic and choosing to practice introspection for self-improvement. Socrates attempted to understand logical conclusions based on sound argumentation and debating. (Socialists hate Democracy because it is based on logic, genuine empathy, harmonious argumentation or speeches, and goodness instead of screaming non-sense, persecuting, envying, and being oblivious of civility.)
